This year marks John Nicol’s 11^th year as Queensferry’s Burryman, a role that becomes more of an honour each year…

John (35) is a former pupil of Queensferry High School before graduating from Gray’s School Of Art in Aberdeen (Degree in Sculpture) and Glasgow School Of Art (Masters Degree in Fine Art).

 He has worked as a Graphic Designer for the last 8 years and currently works for his beloved Hibernian Football Club as the Club’s Graphic Designer. He lives in Leith with a ‘ferry lass Emma and her two pet rabbits…
