Ferry Fair 2008 Diary of events

Sunday August 3rd

The Committee members and helpers all turned up at 9am on Sunday morning sharp to put the flags and banners up along the High St in South Queensferry.

The clouds told us we had to be quick to avoid getting wet but because of a few minor hitches we took slightly longer this year and got socked into the bargain.

Thank Goodness for the Cherry Picker

Chris who works on the Forth Road Bridge kindly offered his services this year.

A big thank you to the Forth Road Bridge for their continued support.

David Steel

David the Ferry Fair Secretary puts down his pens and Computers to get stuck in!

Raining

By the time we got to the Orocco Pier we were soaked!

David Again

The Cherry Picker Breaks Down!

As if the rain wasn't enough we had a small problem with the cherry picker, here we are pushing it back to allow traffic through.

Graham Holmes

Ferry Fair Chairman Graham Holmes directs the traffic. Told you we would find him something that suited him.

George Holmes

The sun is out now so out pops George.

Cruise Ship arrives

We had some overseas visitors to watch us errect the flags.

The Town Crier

Our very own Town Crier pays us a vistit.
