My Year as Queen - 2006/2007

I have had a wonderful year as Ferry Fair Queen and I was delighted to be picked.  I couldn't wait to tell my parents!

In the weeks that followed I was so excited even though the Fair was months away!  On the day I was quite nervous and I would like to thank everybody who helped me through the Crowning Ceremony.  Overall I really enjoyed the experience.

Throughout the year I have attended a lot of events from turning on the Christmas lights to giving out prizes to school children for winning competitions and opening the Queensferry School Christmas Fair.  The best part of being Queen was going into a cafe in Linlithgow and the waiter coming up to me and asking "Are you the Ferry Fair Queen?"  He then bowed every time he approached our table.

My message to you Georgina for your reign as Queen for this coming year is to wish you the best of luck and enjoy yourself as much as you can.
