Ferry Fair Committee would like to announce our Gracious Lady 2022, Mrs Anne Mitchell.
We wish Anne a lovely Ferry Fair 2022.
Anne Mitchell is our local Health and Wellbeing Convener for Queensferry and District Community Council, which is completely voluntary, Anne also headed up the Ferry Elves within Queensferry last year and again this year, tirelessly giving up her time and self to offer help and support to over 75 families and children in South Queensferry, organising Food, clothes, shoes, and gifts. Anne also has managed to bring lots of support services to South Queensferry under her voluntary role in QDCC, offering support for housing, benefits, health care needs, financial , mental health and physical health needs. Anne works, voluntarily, with the health visitors to help offer support to families in the area in need. Anne still supports a lot of the families she met through Ferry Elves.
Anne is a retired nurse, but when covid hit she registered herself to go back into the NHS workforce to help. Anne also teaches people Cpr training and first aid voluntarily, to groups in and around South Queensferry.
